“forse anche per questo qui alla Colomba abbiamo deciso di non dotare le camere di televisione, per lasciare spazio sufficiente al profilo dei nostri monti e al silenzio della valle”
Welcome to the Colomba d'Oro
The Hotel Colomba d'Oro was once a Franciscan convent dating back to the16th century. It is located in Triora – a picturesque medieval village perched at 780 meters above sea level, dominating the enchanting Argentina Valley in Western Liguria, Italy.
Triora is known best for a witch trial, probably the most notorious in Italy, which took place in 1587; however, Triora can offer visitors much more. Tou can have e little taste here.
The Hotel Colomba d'Oro is now a comfortable and friendly family run hotel. It has 37 rooms, all furnished with telephones and private bathrooms.
16 of these rooms have private balconies for relaxing and enjoying in the marvellous panorama of the valley. Just for such diversions, the Hotel decided to leave their rooms TV-free, leaving their property a peaceful retreat in nature.
For additional recreation the Hotel offers a reading room renovated under the nave of a medieval church and a library containing many historical books and a selection of playthings for children.
The Hotel Colomba d'Oro is also quite proud of its meeting room which is located in the stone sacristy of the grounds and furnished with a large wood-burning fireplace.
For other various events, the hotel has a larger hall with a welcoming veranda.
