A fresh new day

Take it easy when you get up in the morning, no rush.
Have a look at what the weather is like in the valley, see the clouds moving fast across the sky, or the sun shining over the mountains right opposite you.
Then come downstairs, and stroll in the direction of the veranda, or, in the winter months head for the hall that used to be the church sacristy, where a roaring fire will be welcoming you. On the other hand, on a hot summer day you might prefer to go outside on the terrace and find a table right under the horse-chestnut.
The way we want to wish you a good day will be there, waiting for you.
Every day, for the past forty years, Marta has a habit of spoiling her guests with endless delicacies, all of them freshly made in the kitchen. Delicious cakes, hot savoury pies, cold meats and cheeses of all sorts, sweet buns, home-made biscuits and jams, local honey, fresh bread straight out of the oven…
A new day is ahead of you, seemingly just like any other day.
But if it starts this way, maybe it will be a day that will remain in your mind and your heart long after your holidays are over.
